Sleman Regency Regional Legislative Body (DPRD) held work visit to Jakarta Communication Information and Statistic (Kominfotik) Department. In this work visit, those legislators wanted to learn and know more about public information disclosure which implemented by Jakarta Government.

Sleman Regency DPRD's Special Committee for Regulation Draft and Public Information Disclosure Leader, Respati Agus Sasongko mentioned, since Jakarta is a role model for other local governments, he expects Sleman Regency can learn more from Jakarta Government and its policies.
According to him, Jakarta Government has implemented various things related to Law (UU) No. 14/2008 regarding Public Information Disclosure which can be also applied in Sleman Regency.

He explained, one of Sleman Regency's visions is to realize a Smart Regency. Moreover, Sleman Regency is currently discussing regional regulation draft regarding public information disclosure.
"Sleman Regency also has PPID, but it is still centered in Communication and Information (Kominfo) Department. Later, we will break it down thus all department or OPD can have PPID similar to Jakarta Government. Things that we had never imagined before were actually implemented in Jakarta," he stated.
According to him, his side will prepare the regional regulation draft (Raperda) while implementing UU KIP. Thus later when Raperda is ready for ratification, all stakeholders are ready to provide transparent information and realize a clean government.
